Fat Boy Tumble

At what time of our lives do we start making everything we do, try to do and say complicated, only to spend the rest of our lives learning to keep everything simple?

I like to play tennis, I was losing. I decided to try a triathlon. 1000 meter swim (.6 mile) ... 22 mile bike ride and 5 mile run. I trained 60 days and during the 10 second count down that Tri-day while I was getting ready to jump into the open water swim for the event, my life changed. I do know what happened really but everything got silent and I went to some type of a ZEN place. I struggled, fell off my bike once, lost a water bottle, got passed by a 62 year woman with a big butt, looked like a beast of fat squeezed in my fancy Triathlon outfit but I made it. I did not finish last, I finished. It was a good race, the energy of the athletes is great and the encouragement was amazing.

Aren't we all always looking to better ourselves? Are you willing to go through the embarrassment of doing something for the first time again and possibly looking like a fool to improve your life?
